Yacht Charter Caribbean- Antigua
Antigua undoubtedly belongs to the few real sailing centres in
the world. A significant international regatta is held here
annually in April/May. Charter yachts, as well as “racing
yachts” compete against each other during the famous Antigua
Race Week a demanding but not overly competitive regatta. The
races are held on various courses, in perfect trade wind
conditions – broad, gentle waves and steady winds. Races start
in the morning, enabling all yachts to return in time for the
afternoon cocktail, and leaving enough time to relax at the
party that is held every night. With 365 inlets, one for every
day of the year, Antigua offers varied and gripping itineraries
along the rugged coast.
Yacht Charter Caribbean- St. Martin
The Northern half of the island St Marin/St Marteen is French,
while the South is Dutch. The Dutch part, of 34 sq kilometres,
is made up of hills that taper into a flat plane with salt
lakes. The mountainous North covers 54 sq km and has natural
inlets, making it much quieter than the touristy South with its
nightclubs. Several vast coral reefs and tiny islands lie just
off the coast.
Yacht Charter Caribbean- Guadeloupe
Viewed from above, the island looks like a butterfly, whose
wings have completely different landscapes. Grande Terre, the
Eastern part, is a flat chalk island with vast sugar cane
plantations and splendid palm beaches. The Western half of the
island, Basseterre, has jagged steep coasts and tree-covered
volcanic mountains. The highest point is the active volcano
Sourfrière, at 1467 metres. |
